What money does to people...

Today I was at work finishing up some stuff before I got to head home and I walked up to a table with a woman looking for something before she could go. She had lost her glasses, and more times then none, when I vacuum at the end of the night, I find a lot of stuff underneath the table. That was a logical place to look, and of course, they were under the table. This was no problem for me to help her find them, but it hit me that when working in the restaurant business, you only tend to act kind to people just to try and squeeze a few more extra bucks out of their wallet. It sickens me sometimes how some waitors that I know go up to a table, act incredibly nice, then turn around walk into the kitchen, and start talking trash about them. Then I think to myself, I'm glad that I am not a two faced miserable prick like some people. I do things for other people without expecting anything in return, as should other people because when you expect something and you don't get it, it's a disappointment in the end.

The Pretender

Ahh, workin' away at this project for guitar class, though, all Im really doing is listening to a song over and over again.. and basing my analysis on it. Which is kinda awesome if you think about it. What other class would you be able to do something like this in... MATH?! Haha unlikely. Well, so far I've been listening to "The Pretender" by the Foo Fighters from their new album, "Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace." Which, just from this song alone, I'm wanting to go and buy the album. The Foo's have had a lot of awesome hits over the years, even when I was 7 and wasn't really into anything, I still remember listening to them. The Pretender, in my opinion is linked directly to Bush. It seems like the song is talking about how a leader sends his men to do all of the dirty work for him. Also, it talks about all of the enemies such as liberal and conservative, which is in the song. "Im what's left, Im what's right, Im the enemy." Just that message alone drives me to listen to the intensity of the song that the Foo Fighters have intentionally made to get to the general audience.

Halo 3!!

Well Halo 3 finally came out two days ago and I've been busy playing! ITS FREAKING AMAZING!!!!!!!! OMG. WHO THINKS THERES GONNA BE A HALO 4??!! and no i don't mean Halo Wars! Halo 3 is by far one of the greatest games ever made. And also, the relation with marathon.. It seems incredibly close, and Im starting to believe that Halo was based off of Marathon. Wouldn't doubt it.

2. I want to jump out of a plane... im not scared.. I really want to do that right now!
3. Go on a stage and play guitar or sing in front of hundreds of people... i have somewhat a fear of being on stage alone.

The Good Die Young, But Pricks Live Forever!

I was just remembering some of my favourite comedians such as Dane Cook and Lewis Black when I thought of a quote which Lewis Black was known for. He says, "The Good Die Young, But Pricks Live FOREVER!" I totally agree with this because while looking in the Sunday SUN, I came upon an article which showed two young women which were killed in a car crash.

"Vanessa DiCeglie, 19, and her big sister, Isabel, made a left turn Thursday around 2:40 p.m. from Airport Rd. to head west on Mayfield Rd. -- just a couple of blocks from their Brampton home -- when their Honda Civic was crushed by a southbound gravel truck."

The parents of these teens are now demanding that something is to be done about the truck drivers and the accidents that they cause. The girls were described as "such angels, such beautiful girls," Which, in fact they were extremely beautiful! Again I go back to the quote, "The good die young.." It is truly a tragedy for these women and their parents. My Condolances to the parents.

Random Topic #4: Being Sick SUCKS!!/ Halen/Zepplin Tours

Argh, Why is it that literally, almost everyone that I know is sick all at the same time?! This really sucks bad cause I don't even feel like moving around at all. Except all that I've been doing for the past hour and a half was playing RE4, which by the way is AWESOME! And another thing... why is it that when I finally do watch TV, there is next to nothing on! Damn I can't wait for the new season of 24 to come back, along with House and other random shows like Robot Chicken. That show is freaking amazing and Seth Green should be put on the walk of fame for it. Oh and also, for fans of Van Halen and Led Zepplin, I heard that they will both be joining up back together and going on final tours. Im not sure where, but it should be awesome!!!

Guitar Hero III for Wii

FINALLY!!!! How long I've waited for this! *counts* 4 months now! and the wait is almost over. October 28 is the release date and I am counting down every single day until it comes out. Apparently it will cost somewhere between $110-$120, but those could be rumours and I am looking into that. Hopefully, if that is true, the price goes down to around $80. Some other good games that Im looking to get right now though are Resident Evil: Wii Edition, and Metroid: Corruption. They both look really good and are basically the best games to come out for the Wii right now other than Zelda: The Twilight Princess and Mario Party 8.

Second Week of School

My second week of school was ok. Some events happened nearby such as the lockdown of both Fletchers Meadow SS as well as St. Edmund Campion because of a weapon threat. SWAT teams and canine units were brought in though nothing really happened except that they found a replica pellet gun. No shots were fired and no one was injured.
Check out the St. Edmund Campion Video here.
I can't really think of anything that I hate about my school right now, though the best thing about school is two of my classes, Guitar and Web Design. Some of my favourite colors are green and red.

Random Topic #3: License Plates

Ya, another thing which I randomly thought of while goin to work was how many freakin different kinds of license plate combonations could there be?! considering there is a shit load of people in Canada alone... Though I was thinkin about something funny. Say if a cop was going after a specific car and reported the license plate to be EGV#328, and then crossed into the U.S. going after him, and then saw another car with the exact same license plate... Im sure he'd be extremely confused. Well... maybe if he was blind and didn't kno what the first car looked like.. lol. Ya, so random...

Random Topic #2... I got my embedded mp3 working!!

lol, finally! I learned sooo much and now its there.. playing all the songs that I set to it! :D Believe me, if someone does this on their own without copying it from someone else, it'll feel awesome haha. I learned what .xml files are and how to edit them. I learned how an FTP server is really the backbone of a central site located on it!!! Overall... about 2 hours after work wasted on this lol, but in the end... it works :). So im happy

FTP/ Free Web Hosting

Sometimes when there is nothing to do and the weather is pretty shitty outside.. I just go on my computer and tweak certain programs. One that I noticed isn't really a program but more internet based. It's called FTP and Im using it because when I saw that on Blogger.ca that you can't do certain things.. I decided to create my own webspace. By the way, an FTP server is short for File Transfer Protocol, which basically means that it is a directory set up on the internet that specific people have access to. I created it mainly for my blogger site. The link is here. Still under construction because most of the things that came with it such as PHP and MySQL... I have no idea how to work. If anyone is ever interested in starting up a site, here is a cool list of free web hosting servers. Free Web Hosting

Random Topics #1 :Authority

Ya.. while going to work and looking out the window and saw what looked to be a homeless man, i immediately thought of one thing... George Bush! Not because he reminds me of an ungroomed donkey, but because hes the reason why we are so screwed up.. and by we, I mean the world. What if there was no "authority" in the world.. would we be any different than we are now? To be honest... with all these political parties and Bush trying to hide his governmental agenda to one day frame foreign countries for a "chaotic world" that we live in... im just disgusted as to how someone could do this. Doesn't he even have a conscien... never mind.. I feel dumb for asking that. So reply back, let me know what you guys think a world without authority would be like im your eyes.

School Related Prerequisites

Some things about school are just dumb.. like the fact that you HAVE to take certain courses that you don't want to or that you don't think will benefit you. But there is one thing that I find that tops that... having to do community service. Whoever made this mandatory should be forced to community service at least 20 hours a day so he knows what its like to not have a life while bettering the community. As if it wasnt enough that on a school day, I have to wake up early, but today I had to as well. I went to a local old folks home called Peel Manor for an orientation on volunteering with the elderly. To sum it up, the negative was to sit for 3 hours and listen to a man speak about the elderly... the positive... FREE FOOD!

My First Week of School

Well, summer is over and school is BACK! Im pretty excited to see my friends again but im kinda bummed that summers gone. I look forward to most of my classes except math. Im pretty sure I can speak for everyone when I say that no one missed MATH! Although I do look forward to my Guitar class and my Web Design class. But there is one thing that I don't look forward to after school... work. So far I have worked 4 days this week because of a person being fired at my work which isn't good because now that I have school, I'm trying to focus on it and not much else.

Cloverfield- Secret Movie????

While on the internet, my friend told me about this mysterious movie that is supposed to come out January 18th 2008. It is codenamed Cloverfield and is driving me crazy as to what it may actually be about. Some believe that it could be about an offspring of Godzilla babies or a random dinosaur. Some believe that this may be a remake of the Power Rangers series although I doubt that because some videos which people post on YouTube can be very persuasive as to what the actual movie could be about.

Cloverfield News Visit the site to view, what could be, a real preview of the movie.

IPhone and Wi-Fi iPod

"Apple also said it would phase out the iPhone's 4-gigabyte model. The price cut - an indication sales of the product may not be keeping up with expectations - came as Apple unveiled a revamped iPod lineup that included a new touch-screen device that can connect via Wi-Fi networks to the Internet. Apple shares fell 4% to $138.42 following news of the price cut.
"I think it's a sign that the iPhone isn't selling as fast as they hoped for, so they decided to get aggressive on price," said Van Baker, an analyst at Gartner Inc."

So now that the new iPod model is out... what does that mean for the older models?.. Will they be phased out aswell? Also, Apple is moving too fast with their expectations on the success of their new products coming out. Two months in on the iPhone's release and they are already dropping the price by $200. That just shows the amount of desperation that Apple is having to try to get their products to their consumers without thinking ahead of profit... or could this possibly be a good move on Apple's part. Thinking that with the price drop, the amount of sales will increase too.
